FAQ
Getting There & Around
Will the wedding be outdoors?
Yes. The ceremony will take place outdoors on grass, so guests may want to consider keeping that in mind when choosing footwear, especially heels. Cocktail hour will be held outdoors as well, in a stone courtyard. The reception will be indoors.
Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?
No, but they are just down the street from one another.
How far apart are the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception?
Everything is within a very short walk, about two minutes from start to finish.
Will parking be available near the venues?
We are still finalizing parking details. At the moment, parking in the area is primarily public street parking. We will share more information as plans are confirmed.
The Wedding Day
What time should guests plan to arrive?
The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM.
What happens if it rains?
We have a plan in place and will share details closer to the date if needed.
Can guests take photos during the ceremony?
We will invite guests to take a photo at one designated moment during the ceremony. For the remainder of the ceremony, we kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away.
What to Wear
What is the dress code?
Semi formal. We encourage neutral tones, including whites, off whites, tans, and khakis.
Any guidance for shoes or walking?
The ceremony will be on grass, so guests planning to wear heels may want to choose accordingly.
Should guests bring layers for the evening?
Evenings by the water can feel cooler, so a light jacket or wrap may be comfortable. That said, it is summer, so this is entirely up to personal preference.
Travel & Lodging
Do you have hotel room blocks?
We do not have formal hotel room blocks. A list of recommended accommodations is available on the Travel & Lodging page.
Where do you recommend guests stay?
Please see the Travel & Lodging page for hotel and vacation rental suggestions.
When should guests book travel and accommodations?
As soon as possible. August is a busy time in a beach town, and availability fills up quickly.
Miscellaneous
Are children welcome?
We kindly ask that this be an adults only celebration. Children will be invited by name on the invitation.
Can guests bring a plus one?
Plus ones will be indicated on the invitation.
Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?
Yes. Guests will be able to note dietary restrictions when formal invitations are sent.
Who should guests contact with questions?
